Popular products like Marmite and Pot Noodles are vanishing from Tesco shelves due to a dispute between the supermarket and supplier Unilever. Unilever is the UK’s biggest food and grocery producer.

It began when Unilever attempted to pass the higher cost it suffered owing to the fall in pound price on higher wholesale prices. Plus the Britain is voting in favor of Brexit making the value of sterling fall by 16% against the euro.

The former chief of Sainsbury’s, Justin King, has notify the problem, saying that shoppers should anticipate higher prices in future as supermarkets will not be able to absorb the extra cost of imported goods.

Leading retail analyst Richard Hyman told the BBC that Retailers can’t put up their prices and get away with it.
