Mount Vernon (US): a suspect responsible to killed five people at Macy’s store in a Washington state shopping mall before top authorities has rush for 24 hour manhunt. He was charges with five counts of first-degree murder.
A suspect Arcan Cetin 20 year old make his entry in Skagit County District Court on Monday and his bail was set at USD 2 million.
Cetin’s court documents released before hearing, he admitted that he carried rifle into Macy’s and shot all 5 victims to detective who was taking interview.
On Saturday he was arrested a day after the gunman opened fire in the cosmetics departmental store on Friday night, killing a man, a teenage girl and three women.
David Marshall was attending hearing with Cetin’s mother said, “We are entirely distressed by what happened,”
Keith Tyne a Cetin’s lawyer didn’t interact with reporters. One of Cetin’s neighbors describes him as “frightening, rude and horrible”. He has cord of run- ins by law and including charges he beaten his stepfather.
Cetin migrated to the US from Turkey and official said he is legal permanent resident. On Monday is expected to make an initial court appearance.
Authorities didn’t disclose information behind his possible motive.
On Sunday, detectives were searching Cetin’s apartment and were seen carrying boxes from a rear, upstairs unit. The building was protected with yellow tape but detectives didn’t reveal information.
Amber Cathey, 21 year old lives in neighborhood of Cetin for the past three months said she so frightened by him, she complained of him to apartment management and was keeping a stun gun handy. Cathey said she blocked him on Snapchat after he sent her a photo of his crotch.
She said he was really “frightening, rude and horrible,” and was avoiding to go long way with him they were also in high school together.
Court has recorded three charges to assault his stepfather. The newspaper printed he was took in custody against drunken driving charge, no information on how cases resolved.
In last December Cetin was told by Judge that he has no gun but stepfather advice the judge not to trust him. Saying his stepson was “going through a hard time.”###
