The British car brand Jaguar launched its XE petrol version in India last year at Auto Expo 2016. So, from the time of launch, the sedan was only delivered with the petrol engine.
Identifying the need, the automaker has now rolled out the diesel version of the XE sedan and has officially announced the booking commencement of the vehicle. The booking can be done with payment of 2 Lakh as a token amount. Post launch of the diesel version of the sedan, the company will aim both diesel and petrol purchaser with XE. The company claims that the XE diesel is one of the affordable diesel cars from the Jaguar’s product portfolio.
Coming onto its power, the car is fueled by a 2.0-liter diesel engine that is capable of producing 177bhp. In addition, petrol variant is fueled by the 2.0-liter engine. The pricing of the petrol variant In Delhi is Rs 41.69 Lakh for Pure variant, Rs 43.59 Lakh for prestige, and Rs 48.59 for the Portfolio variant.
The interiors of the Jaguar XE are now equipped with Touch Pro Infotainment system integrated with 12.3-inch TFT instrument display. Other additional features include blind spot assistance, pedestrian detection function, and automatic emergency braking system.

Focusing on the current portfolio of Jaguar in India has XF sedan, F-type sports car, and XJ sedan that worth 47.7 lakh, 1.26 crore, and 97.2 lakh (Ex-showroom Mumbai). If seen through a competitive aspect, the all-new XE diesel would give a straight fight to Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The diesel variant of the Jaguar XE is anticipated at price range between Rs 40 Lakh–Rs 45 Lakh.
Bookings for Jaguar XE diesel are open across all 24 Jaguar authorized retailers in India. Dealers estimated that the deliveries of the car may start at the end of this month.
