Samsung on Wednesday (2 September) released its Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE model in India, priced at Rs. 39,400.  This tablet is available in gold, Black, and white colors. The company is calling the offering the world’s thinnest tablet, with a 5.6mm thickness.

Samsung has teamed up with Airtel to offer free 2GB of 4G Internet data per month for two months for the tablet partner. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE supports both LTE bands in India (1800MHz Band 3 and 2300MHz Band 40). The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a 9.7-inch QXGA (2048×1536 pixels) resolution Super display.

The tablet is powered by company’s own octa-core Exynos 5433 processor clubbed with 3GB RAM. The 32GB inbuilt storage of the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE can still be expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE comes to the 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include is 2G/ 3G, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE, GPS, Micro-USB and GLONASS. Sensors featured are accelerometer, RGB sensor, fingerprint scanner, compass, gyroscope hall sensor, and fingerprint scanner.  The tablet measures 169×237.3×5.6mm, weighs 392 grams and is supported by a 5870mAh battery.
