FMCG sector has been a lucrative industry since earlier days and it has hardly seen a drop in its growth chart so far. With the addition of new products with a wide variety and long sustainable shelf life, the sector has retained its position as the highest performer among the sectors. The U.S. market has been all time favorite region for the business tycoons to roll out their premium class products. And on such grounds, Tata Global Beverages announced that it will be introducing its premium natural mineral brand “Himalayan” in the U.S. market.
The premium water, Himalayan is presently available only in Singapore and India.
“The brand will get into the market in the U.S. market in a phased style after the agreement is inked by the company’s subsidiary, Talking Rain Beverage Company, which is also the maker of flavored sparkling waters, to allocate and promote the brand. With the strategy, Himalayan will be the first Indian FMCG premium brands to penetrate the huge American market,” the company said.
Managing Director and CEO of TGB, Ajoy Misra said, “We are delighted to get collaborated with Talking Rain Beverage Company for the launching of Himalayan in the U.S. market. The forte of its category expertise and distribution network will enable the brand to make an appreciable impact on the U.S. market.
The pact will present Himalayan the advantage of utilizing widespread execution capabilities and go-to market network, which works well with TGB’s marketing capabilities and product expertise, the company added.
The water extracts come from the premium source, from a pristine and pure underground stream that is found approximately 400 feet under the surface, positioned right in the foothills of Himalayas.
President of Talking Rain Beverage Company, Marcus Smith said, “We are gratified to declare premeditated partnership amid Tata Global Beverages and Talking Rain.”
Smith also said, “Since 2012, we have functioned meticulously to build a robust and calculated direct-store-delivery network, embracing above 300 distributors in the U.S. We look ahead to play a contributory part in the prosperous U.S. market entrance for Himalayan natural mineral water.”
So looking forward, let us hope the premium water extracted all the way from the Himalayas will flourish the international market as well.###
