Operated by the Government of India, BSNL got into the race of ‘low rates’. With the launch Reliance Jio in the market few months back, the lead contenders in the market were scattered in fraction of seconds. Now to compete in the race, BSNL launched a new offer in the market.
The company introduced unlimited free calling plan with addition of 300MB of data for Rs 99 only. The validity of this plan will be 28 days. The plan is applicable for its prepaid users only.
With the launch of this plan, the rates will be applicable in West Bengal, Kolkata TD, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra circles. Other circles will have the same offer but for different rates. The rates for other circles will vary between Rs 119 and Rs 149.
Other plan introduced by the company includes 1GB of data with free unlimited calling all over India. The plan will cost Rs 399 and will be valid for 28 days. The older plan of the company is not so attractive. It offers unlimited 3G data only with price tag of Rs 1,099 and validity of 30 days.
With BSNL also in the race, the competition gets tougher and tougher every day. But are the telcom giants not considering the post paid users? Are these users not contributing to their profits? This will be a permanent question because each and every giant in the market is introducing plans for the prepaid users only.###
