Dhaka: On Tuesday media reported, weapons used in Dhaka café attack that killed an Indian girl, 20 foreigners customized in India before getting transport to Bangladesh in mango baskets.
Monirul Islam, Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime chief state, “we have found that customization of these arms were done in Munger city in Bihar, India and later on move to Chapainwabganj border,”
Islam assert, “On AK22 rifles which have been recovered after the Gulshan terror attack a seal of the factory in Bihar found on it.”
Before one month terror attack happened on the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka, the delivery of weapons AK22 rifles and other arms reached to the militants in the Bangladesh capital.
The newspaper reported, arms were delivered out of these 3 AK22 rifles were used in the attack while another rifle used for security of Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh chief Tamim Ahmed Chowdhury.
Official involved in investigation said, they are finally able to trace the route of the smuggled arms.
Islam was quoted in the newspaper, “we at last come to know that sources of the AK22s supply and groups initially involved in.”
He said, “The investigation on the track to arrest group member.”
Nurul Islam Marjan, JMB leader who is missing was primary coordinator of cafe attack happened on 1 July. He received delivery in Dhaka and later in pass to militant den in Bashundhara Residential Area.
Islam state, “Mango baskets on large number came to Dhaka from Chapainawabganj and same time militant took benefit of it by evade law enforcers,”
The Islamic State (IS) taken responsibility of the cafe attack, but police thought that Neo-Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh was involved in the planning of attack.###
