Students who wrote the HSC exams in February this year have to wait no longer for their results. The Maharashtra Higher secondary board has announced that it will declare the results today i.e on 25th May, 2016. For those who had appeared for the SSC exams have to wait until May 31 as its results are likely to be announced on that day. The results for Maharashtra board are announced early as compared to the previous years, so as to keep the process of admissions seamless and hassle free.

All the HSC students can check their results online at 1pm today and the marksheets shall be distributed in junior colleges on June 3. This marksheet will be necessary in seeking admissions as well as future references.

One of the reasons for earlier declarations of results is that the students who couldn’t manage to pass can then appear again in July for the supplementary exams. The chairperson of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Gangadhar Mahamane recently confirmed this by saying, “This year, we are announcing the results a little earlier because it will help the students who will be appearing for the supplementary exams in July.”

For this exam, more than 13 lakh students across Maharashtra had appeared, out of which, 3.2lakh students were from the Mumbai division itself. As far as the SSC exams are considered, around 17lakh students had appeared in the state of Maharashtra along with 3.7 lakh students from Mumbai.

This year, during the HSC exams, question papers for the subject book keeping and accountancy were leaked on various social media platforms around 30 minutes before the exams. But there were no re-exams conducted by the board as they believed the papers had reached only a few people and conducting a complete re-examination was not something which was a viable option.

Students in the science stream are quite anxious to know the results as the Physics paper was difficult to crack this time around. As soon as the exam was finished, many students had called the board helpline number in order to seek help. We wish all those who are waiting for their results a very best of luck. May whatever the results be, accept it with grace and you all have a bright future ahead, your dreams await you.
