MWC 2017: Blackberry Rolls Out Keyone Smartphone

BlackBerry had a very tough time in the past few years. Everything was going smooth until the Android and the iOS hit the market. Well, the company could not cope with the market and failed to satisfy the needs of the users. Hence, the company decided to make an entry with an Android smartphone but keeping the same look and feel. This resulted in the launch of BlackBerry KeyOne in the current MWC 2017. Even though the smartphone has Android OS, the company has the same look and feel of the smartphone as the old BlackBerry phones had. Let us have a look at the specs of the smartphone.

The new BlackBerry KeyOne phone provides a 4.5-inch screen with full HD IPS display. The screen has a pixel ratio of 1080 x 1620 with a protection of Gorilla Glass 4 as well. The phone is fueled by a Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3 GB RAM. The smartphone also has 32 GB internal memory that can be expanded to 256 GB via Micro SD card.

In the camera section, the rear camera is of 12 MP of power with f/2.0 aperture. The new BlackBerry KeyOne smartphone has 8 MP of front camera for selfies. The phone is supported by 3,505mAh battery. The device currently runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. In terms of connectivity, the phone offers 4G, Bluetooth, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, 3G, FM and GPS.

Launched at MWC 2017, the price of the phone is currently unknown. It comes in only one color variant—black.
