Japanese Company Makes Highest Proposal of Rs 60 Lakh at BITS Pilani

BITS Pilani University has ended its last placements for the batch of 2017. It secured a standard salary of Rs 11.07 Lakh as compared to last year’s Rs 10.33 Lakh.

The uppermost on-campus global package of Rs 60 Lakh was provided by Works Application, one of the biggest enterprise software companies in Japan based in Tokyo. It was pursued by one more Japanese firm, Daikin, which provided a salary package of Rs 59.5 Lakh.

San Jose and Nutanix proposed the largest salary package of Rs 35 Lakh for a home role. The other leading paymasters comprise Arcesium (Rs 29.5 lakh), Schlumberger (Rs 32 lakh), Amazon (Rs 27 lakh), DE Shaw (Rs 28.5 lakh), and Directi (Rs 26.8 lakh).

The three campuses of the university—Goa, Pilani, and Hyderabad—saw an entire of 646 recruiters. The number was 38 more as compared to 2016, said G Balasubramanian—Chief Placement Officer of Dubai & India at BITS Pilani University.

Most of the recruiters cleared more than 30 proposals each. Amongst the firms that made the uppermost number of proposals comprise Qualcomm, Capgemini, Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft, and ZE.

In a year when some companies are stepping back on placements and hiring, BITS managed to enhance the number of candidates employed across all 3 campuses.

Near to 86% of the total batch got employed this year as compared to almost 83% the previous year. Balasubramanian claimed that considering the entire hiring environment, the institute had enhanced its placement period across semesters by a week to achieve a benefit.

The campuses witnessed a 22% development in candidates taking up basic engineering roles, to 349 this time from 286 last year. This assisted to make up for the plunge in IT roles, 38.83% of the batch got wrapped up in IT, than 50.58% previous year.

The campus at Pilani witnessed a standard salary of Rs 11.47 Lakh and a top salary of Rs 35 Lakh while the campus at Goa had a standard salary of Rs 10.95 Lakh and a top salary of Rs 29.5 Lakh. At the campus of Hyderabad, the average and highest salaries were Rs 10.51 Lakh and Rs 35 Lakh, respectively.
