Honda that launched its WR-V in March 2017 has right from the start maintained the graph high on the charts. The company has increased the production to 5000 units from 3400 units per month, to reduce the waiting period and maintain the demand rate.

The Indian streets are filled with SUVs. Taking any automaker into consideration who has introduced a perfect-package of SUV or a crossover, all of them have proved and gained a huge demand and sell in good volumes. For instance, Ford with its EcoSport, Maruti with its Vitara Brezza, Renault with its Duster, or Toyota with its Fortuner

Honda entered with his CR-V first, which didn’t get a response in terms of sales. Later the company launched WR-V, which took the control of the aesthetics and performed in the way it was expected to. It was mandatory to differentiate the WR-V crossover from its Hatchback, and the vehicle did it perfectly. Honda has been constantly selling over 3000 units of WR-V per month. It has received more than 23,000 bookings and so far has delivered 16,000 units. And still, it has a waiting period of 1–2 Months.

The boost in the production number that rose to 5,000 units will also facilitate Honda to stay geared up for the forthcoming festive season.

Taking a short glimpse of the vehicle specification, Honda WR-V is powered by 1.5-Litre i-DTEC diesel engines and 1.2-Litre i-VTEC petrol that produced 99 HP and 89 HP. The diesel engine is mated with 6-speed manual transmission and the petrol engine is integrated with 5-speed manual transmission. The crossover comes with an integrated 7-inch DIGIPAD infotainment system with a host of connectivity options, automatic climate control system, LED DRLs, electric sunroof, and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Looking at the growing production figures for of Honda and other automakers, it can be estimated that the Indian automobile market will have great growth prospects in the coming months.###
