Xiaomi, the Chinese supergiant ruling the Indian budget smartphone market is all set to launch Xiaomi Mi Drone on this May 25 in Beijing, the capital of China. The device might be quadcopter coming with attached video camera.
Hugo Barra, the Vice President of Xiaomi Global posted on his Twitter & Facebook accounts with the description saying, “Something incredibly awesome from Xiaomi is flying your way on May 25.”
Xiaomi has even posted its drone on official Mi forum. The post clearly reads, “Something wonderful and cool is flying to us very soon. A Bamboo-copter? In China, it’s the earliest flying toys consisted of feathers at the end of a stick, which was rapidly spun between the hands and released into flight. Shall we discover the world with Mi_________________________ ?”
Xiaomi even posted a teaser on Chinese streaming site YouKu about its upcoming Drone. Android Central was the first to spot it. The video was then uploaded to YouTube and now a huge buzz has been created.
This video depicts a white colored drone which might be a quadcopter having spherical camera attached. Now just wait and see whether it’s a 4K capable camera or not. Some of the patent leaks have even revealed that Xiaomi is also working on a drone which could be controlled through gestures. All thanks to the new Mi brand.
Xiaomi’s Drone is all set to be launched on 25 May and will be competing against the players like DJI etc. It will be good to see how Xiaomi has priced this drone.
